Since 1985, the Aging Life Care Association – formerly known as National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers – has provided leadership, education, and advocacy in the burgeoning profession of Aging Life Care™ (also known as geriatric care management). ALCA members – Aging Life Care Professionals – are the gold standard and respected voice of the profession.

The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke is an Institute within the National Institutes of Health that aims to seek fundamental knowledge about the brain and nervous system and to use that knowledge to reduce the burden of neurological disease.
SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) is a free program offered by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs and your local Area Agency on Aging. Specially trained volunteers can assist you with your Medicare, Medicaid, and health insurance questions by providing one-on-one counseling and information. SHINE services are free, unbiased, and confidential.
The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc., is a nonprofit association which assists lawyers, bar organizations, and others who work with older clients and their families. Established in 1987, the Academy provides a resource of information, education, networking, and assistance to those who must deal with the many specialized issues involved with legal services to the elderly and disabled.
The Florida Department of Elder Affairs is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of the elders in Florida. The Department works in conjunction with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) Adult Protective Services and the Aging Network to protect disabled adults or elderly persons from further occurrences of abuse, neglect or exploitation. Services provided may include protective supervision, placement and in-home and community-based services.
